The health benefits of cucumber juice are many. This may come as a surprise when we consider that the weight of each cucumber is comprised of 96% water. Those seemingly trivial 4% of solid material in each cucumber is of tremendous biological and healing power.

The high therapeutic power of the cucumber lies in their highly alkaline minerals. These minerals include calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and various trace elements, the most important of which is sulphur. Where vitamins are concerned, the main value is in its high content of  Vitamin C, folate and Vitamin A (to a lesser extent).

Cucumber is an alkalizer that neutralizes excess acid in the body. As a depurant, it facilitates the emission of waste products from the bloodstream.
